Paellas San Juan is built on a rich heritage of food, fire, and family. The story begins in Spain and continues today with values of warmth, authenticity, and celebration-shaping every gathering around the pan.

Born in Menorca.

Paellas San Juan began with Zoraima’s childhood in Menorca, where Sundays meant family, fire, and paella. Her father raised rabbits, chickens, and pigs, while her mother—a professional cook in both Barcelona and Menorca—turned simple ingredients into extraordinary meals. Those afternoons around the pan weren’t just about food, but about resourcefulness, celebration, and connection.

Shaped by Spain + Morocco

As she grew, Zoraima’s love for cooking deepened. Her journey took her through kitchens across Barcelona, the Canary Islands, Menorca, and Morocco-places united by a Mediterranean spirit of warmth, generosity, and vibrant flavors. The spices, markets, and hospitality she experienced in Morocco added richness and color to her Spanish foundation, shaping a cooking style that is bold, soulful, and inspired by fire. That sense of exploration continues to guide her today.

Spanish Soul + island warmth

Today, Paellas San Juan is led by Zoraima and her husband and partner, Ray. Together they bring authentic Spanish flavors to the islands, blending heritage with creativity and the simple joy of cooking over fire. Spanish soul, island warmth, and heartfelt hospitality come together in every paella-transforming each event into more than a meal. It becomes a story shared through fire, flavor, and family.
